Poetry across frontiers (05)response from Johannesburg, South Africa Hey Garland, I'm still struggling a bit with Internet access, but I will check it out [the links]. I think for Africans, for us to really leap-frog into the future, the new media out there for poetry and the like are critical. The difficulty is in how to gain access. Anyway, although I have been in South Africa since 1998, home for me is in Lesotho. My father is from Ghana and my mother from Germany, but my family moved to Lesotho twenty-odd years ago. I guess I was fortunate to have a multitude of influences from West & South African to European ... it kind of opens one's mind to a world out there.
Respect, Continue to the next response.
