19 August 2001 - Sunday Chicago's electronic literature landscape has taken shape around the archetypal "e-lit dinner." Our local tradition gathers friends around banquets of South Asian cuisine, and includes hardcore members of the city's electronic literature milieu, as well as visiting guests from the Americas, Europe, and Australia... a truly cosmopolitan table drawn from many schools, skills, and interests. Tonight, feast on the harvests of the land and intellect as we put out a special invitation to all serious contenders in Chicago's electronic literature for "The Mother of All E-Lit Dinners." We'll be dining at Moti Mahal, on Belmont Avenue (Lakeview), just west Sheffield Avenue. Take the CTA Red Line to Belmont, walk 1-1/2 blocks west. The beautiful aromas and spices of this family-style dinner will spark conversation and taste buds alike. You may make your reservation right here for yourself and up to 5 additional guests. Dinners cost $25/person. And if, perchance, the dinner winds its way to drinks and a night out with new friends, let go! Chicago's north side clubland is only steps away. Go out and have a great time. This will be Geoconference 2's final official gathering, and a great way to bid farewell to those who've come to Chicago. Geoconference 2:
